DOB Equity Welcomes New CEO - Karen Serem Waithaka

DOB Equity, a leading impact investment fund in East Africa, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Karen Serem Waithaka as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Karen brings over 15 years of experience in the financial services sector, spanning across Venture Capital, Private Equity, and Corporate Finance. She holds a Master’s Degree in finance, specializing in Funds Management, from the University of New South Wales and a BSc in Actuarial Science from Curtin University of Technology. Karen's extensive expertise and passion for impactful investing make her an invaluable addition to the DOB Equity team.

Karen’s impressive career includes significant roles in managing and growing financial portfolios having worked for Catalyst Fund, Global Partnerships, TBL Mirror Fund, Spark Fund among others. Her leadership and vision have consistently driven success in the organizations she has been part of.

At DOB Equity, Karen will lead the fund in its mission to create impact by investing in and supporting of local entrepreneurship, that drive changes in the food & agri, water and energy sector in East Africa.
