Copia Global supports fight against COVID-19 by distributing hand washing stations for free
DOB Equity’s portfolio company Copia has donated KES 5M worth of free distribution services to the National Business Compact (NBCC) to help local communities across Kenya fight with the COVID-19 Pandemic. So far, Copia has distributed up to 1,500 hand washing units and managed to keep the hands of 1.5 million Kenyans clean across Central Kenya, Rift Valley and Western Kenya with 500 more hand washing stations to be deployed across 14 counties in the country in mid-May.
NBCC comprises of partners in the hygiene business, Kenya Association of Manufacturers, Kenya Private Sector Alliance, Public Relations Society of Kenya, AMREF, Association of Practitioners in Advertising, SDG Partnership Platform, and the UN family in Kenya whose mandate is to accelerate local action and support the government efforts in countering the pandemic.
The hand washing stations will be distributed across Kenya to Bungoma, Embu, Kakamega, Kericho, Kiambu, Kisumu, Lakipia, Meru, Murang’a, Nakuru, Narok, Siaya, Tharaka Nithi, Vihiga counties.
